Mary "Jeannie" Granberry

Mary Jean (Jeannie)Granberry passed away Tuesday January 26, 2010 after a short illness.



Mary Jean was born in Shingletown, CA on January 14, 1934. She was raised in Millville by her beloved Grandma Pope and was a lifelong resident of Shasta County. She was a graduate of Shasta High School, class of 1952 and worked as a desk clerk at Motel 6 for 21 years. In her retirement Mary Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed volunteering her time at The Attic in Redding. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend that will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.



Mary Jean is survived by her 8 children: Jeff Granberry (Marie) of Redding, Rudy McKay of Redding, Gina Ruth of Washington, Jimmy McKay (Sandy) of Nevada, Lisa Spitzer (Donny) of Nevada, Renee Dissinger (Bill) of Redding, Tommy Granberry (Sandy) of Washington, and Kelly Granberry (Stacy) of Shasta Lake City. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister Ethel Lambert of Redding.



A private memorial service is being planned by the family.
